The German WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Network is a network of more than twenty German non-governmental organizations which focus on development cooperation or humanitarian emergency relief and rehabilitation and are actively engaged in the WASH sector.
Together, they contribute towards solving the biggest problems of water supply and basic sanitation in the 21st Century, which they found as unacceptable. In addition, the WASH Network makes an effort to further professionalization through the continuous exchange of knowledge and through improved integration of emergency aid and development cooperation. The Network pursues its aims through activities such as: representation of common interests; public relations, quality control and knowledge exchange, project co-operation and regional workshops. The Network also offers WASH training of trainers to strengthen capacities to develop, conduct and facilitate national or regional WASH trainings.
The WASH e-paper is an online magazine published in German and English. Each edition takes a closer look at a current key issue in the water, sanitation and hygiene sector and related areas. The publication section has resources on WASH.
