Getnet Mitike

Senior researcher, interim Executive Director - IIfPHC-E

Getnet has extensive experience in Public Health teaching as he worked as a full professor at the Addis Ababa University. He previously served as Dean of the School of Public Health. He has published many articles in reputable journals, supervised masters and PhD students, managed collaborations and led several projects of research and training. Getnet Mitike joined the Institute as a senior researcher in December 2018 but is currently serving as the interim Executive Director of IIfPHC-E. Besides his knowledge in research, his wealth of experience in strategic planning, developing curriculums and training are few of the many values he brings to the Institute.

Emebet Zerfu

Resource Center Officer

Emebet has varied work experience in the NGO sector and has been involved in development endeavors both in Ethiopia and the UK. She has most recently been involved with building the IIfPHC-E Resource Center from the ground up. She is our expert on information regarding PHC, materials, resources, and queries on materials available on the website.

Hiwot Tadesse

Office Manager

Hiwot has worked at Glory Co, in Juba, Sudan before joining our team. She mainly focuses on coordinating all office functions, organizing administrative activities, and managing finance related issues at IIfPHC-E. She also admires nature.

Luidina Hailu

Communications Officer

Luidina comes from nursing background, having trained in the United States. Within the Institute, she handles all external communication and public relations. Being multilingual makes her a good asset to the Institute in terms of building deep and meaningful relationships with foreign communities and developing targeted presentations to communicate key messaging and initiatives.

Melody Kelemu

Training Officer

Melody has joined the IIfPHC-E team after working with Ethiopia’s Federal Ministry of Health. She works to spearhead the capacity building component of IIfPHC-E. She is always aiming towards crafting meaningful, highly effective, and engaging training for our participants.
