AHRQ aims to produce evidence to make health care safer, higher quality, more accessible, equitable and affordable. The Agency works within the US Department of Health and Human Services and with other partners to make sure that the evidence is understood and used. The programs of AHRQ focus on: data and measures; education & training; health information technology (HIT) ; hospitals & health systems ; prevention & chronic care; and quality & patient safety.
