CEOHR was formed within the School of Public Health and Family Medicine at the University of Cape Town. The Center is made up of several research programs, reflecting research interests, expertise, and areas of Master and PhD supervision. The thematic areas include: chemical exposures and toxicity; health risk management; pesticides and neurotoxicity; health effects due to toxic metals; silicosis and health effects due to mining exposures; workplace allergens and asthma; as well as violence and injury prevention.
