The Fogarty International Center is dedicated to advancing the mission of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) by supporting and facilitating global health research conducted by U.S. and international investigators, building partnerships between health research institutions in the U.S. and abroad, and training the next generation of scientists to address global health needs. The research topics of FIC include: bioethics; chronic diseases: climate change; deafness and communication disorders; eye disease; implementation science; indoor air pollution; infectious diseases ; maternal and child health; mobile Health; neurological and mental disorders and diseases; oral and dental health; preparedness; trauma and injury and tobacco control. The intervention programs also involve around these topics. Fogarty and NIH support a diverse mix of research projects in the Regions of East Asia and Pacific, Europe and EU, Middle East and North Africa, Russia, Eurasia and Arctic, South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa and Western Hemisphere. In sub-Saharan Africa, FIC has significant activities in approximately 20 African countries.

The Global Health Resources have global health at NIH, e-learning resources, US government agencies, foreign governments, nongovernmental organizations, NIH resources in Asian Languages and NIH resources in Spanish/en EspaƱol.
