GINA is established by WHO and provides a repository of policies, actions and mechanisms related to nutrition collected from a variety of sources. The database is an interactive platform for sharing information on nutrition policies and actions, how programs are implemented, including country adaptations and lessons learnt. Users can apply this tool to map nutrition policies and action, to link policies and action to nutrition status indicators and to share experience on implementation practices. GINA is informed by WHO’s periodically conducted global policy reviews, routine policy monitoring activities in collaboration with Regional and Country Offices and by partners’ databases.
