The College offers about 11 undergraduate degree and 34 postgraduate programs. A PhD program in Public Health is also run in collaboration with Addis Ababa Continental Institute of Public Health. Priority research themes of the College include: infectious diseases; maternal and child health; nutrition; environmental and occupational health and safety; and other public health issues.

The Ethiopian Journal of Health and Biomedical Sciences (EJHBS) is hosted by the College at the University of Gondar.
