The Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Haiti aims to collaborate with the people of the Artibonite Valley as they strive to improve their health and quality of life. The organization helps to improve public health in Haiti by providing services in its hospital and proactively working with communities to prevent illness and premature death. HAS community-based model of prevention, care and treatment involves providing in-patient caring services for children and mothers, treating infectious diseases, and providing rehabilitation service through its prosthetic and orthotics clinic. The Hospital has community health centers specializing in primary care. In addition, HAS nutrition centers treat children with severe acute malnutrition. The organization has 70 mobile clinics and over 300 health posts.
