UNAIDS is leading the global effort to end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030 as part of the Sustainable Development Goals. In Ethiopia, UNAIDS focuses on advocacy and technical guidance to ensure that HIV remains a high priority. Activities include: HIV testing and treatment; elimination of mother-to-child transmission (eMTCT); HIV prevention among young people and key populations; gender inequality and gender-based violence; and HIV and health service integration.
