Mekdim Ethiopia addresses the prevention of HIV/AIDS and the protection of the basic needs and human rights of people living with HIV/AIDS, their families and dependents, through holistic care and support, education and advocacy. Activities of the charity include: prevention of HIV/AIDS; support to HIV patients; counseling and psychosocial support; clinical and home based palliative care; medical and nursing care; social support; legal support as well as orphan and vulnerable children care and support. Mekdim works on information, education and behavior change communication (IE/BCC). Its advocacy work aims on the protection and human rights of people living with HIV/AIDS and their families.
