The Hunger Project is a global, non-profit organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. In Ethiopia, program areas focus on: health & nutrition; water, sanitation & the environment; women’s empowerment program; infrastructure; food security; literacy & education; microfinance & economic activity; and monitoring & evaluation. The health and nutrition program activities encompass: child and maternal healthcare, disease-prevention, and HIV/AIDS services); malaria and tuberculosis prevention and treatment; nutrition education; and medication and supplies to government and local agencies.
