UHC2030 is the global movement to build stronger health systems for universal health coverage. It aims to create a movement for accelerating equitable and sustainable progress towards UHC. UHC2030 provides a multi-stakeholder platform that promotes collaborative working at global and country levels on health systems strengthening (HSS). It advocates increased political commitment to UHC and facilitates accountability and knowledge sharing, together with its partners and related initiatives. UHC 2030 frames emerging priorities, identifies bottlenecks and proposes collective recommendations to accelerate progress towards UHC. The movement encourages partners and related initiatives to coordinate their efforts on health systems strengthening. This particularly applies in low- and middle-income countries, where multiple partners provide development cooperation to support health systems strengthening. In countries receiving external assistance, the Movement continues to promote adherence to effective development cooperation principles as the most important way to ensure coordination around HSS. All signatories to UHC2030’s global compact commit to work together with renewed urgency to accelerate progress towards UHC, through building and expanding equitable, resilient and sustainable health systems.
UHC2030 encourages the exchange of knowledge and learning between and across partners and related initiatives in order to promote a coordinated approach to health systems strengthening for UHC at country and global levels.
