URC aims to provide innovative, evidence-based solutions to health and social challenges worldwide. It brings together talented people from the academic and scientific communities to address the challenges of the age. URC’s Center for Human Services, its non-profit affiliate, enables it to broaden the range of opportunities available to reach and serve the communities in which it works. In over 40 countries, from Afghanistan to Zambia and in the United States, URC is improving the quality and impact of social services and systems, focusing on important areas. URC’s expertise centers on: education; maternal, newborn, and child health; malaria and zika; non communicable diseases; nutrition; reproductive health and family planning; tuberculosis; vulnerable children and families; water, sanitation, and hygiene; vulnerable children and families and global health security. URC approaches the challenges rising from these health issues with focus on quality improvement, health systems strengthening, health communication and behavior change, research and evaluation and social and behavior change communication. These approaches allow URC to tackle a wide range of issues with an emphasis on designing and implementing evidence-based solutions.
